Available funding

Funding for the Co-pay program is provided by pharmaceutical and biotech companies and is not supported by other sources of revenue including our fundraising campaigns such as Team In Training, Light The Night, Student Series, Leukemia Cup Regatta, Man & Woman of the Year, or Student of the Year. These campaigns support Blood Cancer United patient education, support services, advocacy, and research.

A fund that is “closed” is at maximum capacity, serving those enrolled, and is not enrolling additional patients (new or renewal patients). We do not keep a waitlist and encourage all to continue to check the website for updates.

Please note: Changes to funds are reflected on this webpage as quickly as possible. For up-to-the-minute fund status, please call (877) 557-2672. If you started an application prior to a fund becoming fully subscribed, please continue with the application.

*The Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) Co-pay fund is fully subscribed but not permanently closed.

*Based upon historical and recent trends, we anticipate that the CLL Co-pay fund will be open through the winter of 2025.

The Inflation Reduction Act highlights changes in Medicare for 2024 and 2025:

  • For Medicare plan year 2024 patients will see a new limit on their cost-sharing for their Part D drugs
    • If a patient is taking exclusively brand drugs: they will reach the out-of-pocket cap at around $3,300.
    • If a patient is taking exclusively generic drugs: they will reach the out-of-pocket cap at $8,000.
  • Starting in 2025 there will be a new $2,000 annual cap on Medicare patients’ out-of-pocket prescription drug costs
