Here for every today

For the last 11 years, Blood Cancer United has partnered with Subaru and its retailers as part of the Subaru Loves to Care® initiative. Thanks to their generosity, this partnership has impacted more than half a million patients—through free resources, blankets for warmth, message of hope from their community, and funding for Blood Cancer United's Urgent Need Program, Pediatric, Adolescent, and Young Adult Fund.

Subaru Loves to Care

Through the Subaru Love Promise, Subaru and its retailers are dedicated to making the world a better place and being More Than a Car Company®.

And every June—for the last eleven Junes—they've come together with Blood Cancer United and local hospitals to wrap cancer patients in warmth... literally! Since 2016, this partnership has led to more than 550,000 patients receiving blankets, care kits, and messages of hope from Subaru customers and retailer employees.

In 2026, local Subaru retailers across the country rallied together to raise more than $1M in support of our Urgent Need, Pediatric, Adolescent and Young Adult Fund, which provides financial relief to help offset non-medical costs associated with treatment, including transportation, food, housing, and utilities.

June is when we celebrate Subaru Loves to Care and National Cancer Survivors Month. For people living with blood cancer and their families, survivorship comes one today at a time—today's appointment, today's treatment, today's round of tests. And every today is different, with highs, lows, and everything in between.

Blood Cancer United and Subaru's partnership is built on being here for every today, no matter what they bring. With the support, resources, and community that survivors need, whenever they need them.

Inspiring stories

Headshot of Alessandra Tocco

Jelien

Blood cancer survivor

At just 3 years old, Jelien experienced bruises and cuts that took a long time to heal, high fevers, lethargy, and a loss of appetite for months. A bone marrow biopsy confirmed she had acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).

After two years of successful treatment, Jelien went into remission and rang the bell. Today, she's a sweet and energetic kid with a big smile and an even bigger personality.

Jelien's family trusted Blood Cancer United throughout her treatment and in the years since—with information and support as they navigate life with blood cancer. Her mother Amy says, "Blood Cancer United helped us out when our family needed it most. We will forever be grateful."
